Radar-Assisted Multiple Base Station Cooperative mmWave Beam Tracking

چکیده

In the future vehicular networks with an increased number of transceiver antennas and higher vehicle speeds, more frequent beam switching is required to ensure quality communication, which poses challenges tracking speed resource efficiency. Integrated sensing communication (ISAC) provide a new solution cope this problem since radar echo can help predict vehicle’s location direction. Therefore, we present radar-assisted algorithm based on Extended Kalman filtering (EKF) multi-road side unit (RSU) cooperation in article. Each RSU uses EKF track position upload prediction information edge server (ES). By deploying multiple RSUs, ES uploaded distributed for joint estimation thus improves accuracy prediction, used task at next moment. Considering real complex road conditions, investigate two scenarios where vehicles move linearly or curvilinearly. Simulation results show that proposed method base station spectral efficiency by 34% 20% over non-cooperative linear curvilinear mobility, respectively. addition, compared traditional scanning signaling feedback, significantly reduces overhead.

Robust and High Throughput Beam Tracking for mmWave Communication Systems

Millimeter-wave (mmWave) communication has been considered as a promising communication system with large spectrum resource available. In mmWave communication systems, in order to overcome severe path-loss, beamforming technology is required to form narrow beam and generate high directional antenna gain. This will result in frequent beam handoff and severe link blockage, especially in mobile sc...

Asynchronous Interference Mitigation in Cooperative Base Station Systems

Cooperative transmission by base stations (BSs) can significantly improve the spectral efficiency of multiuser, multicell, multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems. We show that contrary to what is often assumed in the literature, the multiuser interference in such systems is fundamentally asynchronous. Intuitively, perfect timing-advance mechanisms can be best only ensure that the desired...

QoS-aware roadside base station assisted routing in vehicular networks

The transmission technology for intelligent transportation systems can be typically classified into two categories, namely, road-to-vehicle communication (RVC) and inter-vehicle communication (IVC). RVCs perform the information communication service offer from road to vehicle whereas the IVCs perform the information communication through vehicles. This work proposes quality of service (QoS)-awa...

Multiple Target Tracking With a 2-D Radar Using the JPDAF Algorithm and Combined Motion Model

Multiple target tracking (MTT) is taken into account as one of the most important topics in tracking targets with radars. In this paper, the MTT problem is used for estimating the position of multiple targets when a 2-D radar is employed to gather measurements. To do so, the Joint Probabilistic Data Association Filter (JPDAF) approach is applied to tracking the position of multiple targets. To ...
